The photo competition entitled “View from the Window”, organized under the patronage of Józef Robakowski, aroused the interest of artists from around the world. In total, almost 500 applications were received from 53 countries such as: Saudi Arabia, Australia, Austria, Bangladesh, Belgium, Belarus, Brazil, Bulgaria, China, Czech Republic, Chechnya, United Arab Emirates, France, France, Ghana, Greece, Spain, Netherlands, Hong Congo, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Canada, Colombia, Cuba, Lithuania, Latvia, Malaysia, Morocco, Mexico, Moldova, Nepal, Germany, Nigeria, Peru, Poland, Portugal, Russia, Romania, Serbia, Singapore, Syria, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tunisia, Turkey, Ukraine, Uruguay, USA, Hungary, UK, Italy.

We would like to thank all participants of the competition!

Due to the very high level of submitted works, the jury deliberated longer than expected, considering each of the submitted proposals. Ultimately, 54 projects were selected for the competition exhibition – single photos and photo series.

The jury decided to award more than one prize and additionally to honor two works in an honorary manner:

  • Main Prize (Grand Prix of the competition): Saida Guseynov (Astrahan, Russia) for a series of photos entitled: “Meet the neighbors” (work completed in June 2020)
  • 2nd Prize: Romaine Iskaria (Brussels, Belgium) for the series of photos entitled “The Confines” (June 1, 2020)
  • 3rd Prize: Dorota Nowak (Poland) for the photo “Windows” (June 2020)
  • Honorary mention: Elena Efeoglou (Thessaloniki, Greece) for the series of photos entitled “There is always a possibility of someone watching” (2020)
  • Honorable Mention: Manon Weiser (France) for the photo “Nuages” (2020)
  • Audience Award: Muhammad Amdad (Chittagong, Bangladesh), for the photo “Captive Life” (2020)
