Concert dedicated to the memory of prof. Jaroslaw Maszewski

A musical event created on the initiative of prof. Piotr Tetlak and prof. Lechosław Dworak, commemorating the charismatic professor Jarek Maszewski, is guided by the desire to remind the inhabitants of Poznań and to perpetuate in their memory the figure of this artistic figure by musicians who, many years ago, at the artist’s invitation, began cooperation with the student group Asociacja Kółka Graniastego, currently Teatr Asocjacja 2006. Jarosław Maszewski was the initiator of, among others, creation of the outdoor exhibition “Unrecognized” by prof. Magdalena Abakanowicz at the Citadel in Poznań, the creator of the Kółka Graniastego Studio, currently known as the Theater Phenomena Studio run by prof. Piotr Tetlak in the Department of Scenography of the Faculty of Interior Design and Scenography of the UAP. We will commemorate the figure of a man thanks to whom Poznań was enriched, among others by about pageant traditions. Prof. Maszewski was honored with the Artistic Award of the City of Poznań and the Commander’s Cross of the Order of Polonia Restituta by the President of the Republic of Poland in 2003.
