University of the Arts Poznań has opened its premises to healthcare professionals battling the coronavirus. “We sew face masks and enter the battle together with Koronazglowy.pl, an action initiated by doctors and students of the Poznan University of Medical Sciences and carried out in cooperation with the Wielkopolska Chamber of Physicians and Dentists” – said the UAP Rector, prof. Wojciech Hora.

More and more UAP staff members and volunteers join the initiative. As we wanted to make full use of this potential, we decided to answer the call of the Wielkopolska Chamber of Physicians and Dentists and open a point that sews and distributes protective gear for healthcare professionals.

Many thanks to professor Sławomira Chorążyczewska and Kinga Ludek from UAP Unique Clothing Studio who are responsible for designing and coordinating the production of face masks. BEMAX and Strima Technika Szycia also support our action. Material was provided by Kibice Lecha Poznań.

Our University has also begun producing face shields. He hope that the creativity of our staff and students will allow to find more ways of fighting the epidemic.

We would like to thank everybody for this collective support. If you want to support us, please send a message to: promocja@uap.edu.pl.
