Playfully and humorously, Yossi Lemel describes Covid-19 as „just another deadly, boring disease“. Lemel, master of posters and graphic design, made sure we were well-supplied with an abundance of creative images of the virus, which he designed during the onset of the pandemic and the global quarantine, almost on a daily basis. Powerful and imaginative direct images, without any disposition of „visual elitism“ or „self-promotion“ – an image a day, as fresh as bread in the morning, until a mosaic design was created. The Corona Case series has a common design line and a specific palette and was designed for Internet viewing but with the dimensions of the traditional printed poster (70 x 100 cm). Leme lis a well acclaimed active designer and equally a social activist whose contribution to shaping public debate and social involvement is Israel and abroad is internationaly recognized.
