June 5-17, 2023, Atanazy Gallery,
Raczyński Library, al. Marcinkowskiego 23, 61-745 Poznań

The exhibition presents the artistic achievements of the participants of graphic arts workshops and courses from the Graphic Studio of the ZAMEK Culture Center in Poznań. This studio brings together people with very different temperaments, sensitivities and a sense of aesthetics. It is a place that resembles a small ecosystem, where life revolves around the very demanding matter of workshop graphics. People participating in the classes, by pouring their ideas, feelings or impressions about the reality around us, generate a specific energy, which, apart from being a driving force for creating new graphics, has become an inspiration to realize a joint exhibition. The exhibition shows works prepared in classic graphic techniques, mainly such as linocut or screen printing, but there are also experimental author’s solutions. The projects clearly differ from each other in terms of the aesthetic solutions used or creative decisions, but they are connected by inspiration with issues such as coexistence, compassion or human relationships with nature and its immediate surroundings. In addition, the exhibition in the space of the Raczyński Library in Poznań, which in itself is a separate ecosystem, allowed for the presentation of the created graphics in a completely different context than previously encountered by the participants, giving the prepared works a new meaning. Some of them took the form of spatial objects, others resemble museum artifacts, and others invite direct interaction with the viewer.
